Ok, here are the rules. Follow them, and I’ll be your best friend. Break them, and you’ll see why I became the rule enforcer on the old site. Trust me, that ain’t something you want to see; I’m not very nice when people break the rules. So just give us both a break and follow the rules; we don’t ask much of you.
General *Stick to the rules of Proboards; that means no inappropriate junk. *Please be kind and keep the cursing to a minimum. I know some of y’all can’t help yourselves, but there could be kids on here. Please don’t be a bad influence. *Be nice to all members. Just because your characters hate each other doesn't mean for YOU to hate each other. *Everyone, and I do mean everyone, has to post an application for any characters they wish to role-play. They also must be accepted before you can role-play that character, because I’m just mean like that. *You can have as many characters as you want, just keep them all active and I don't care if you have 20 something characters. Believe me, I’ll be right there with you with the multiple characters. Just be sure to keep all of them active, and to differentiate between them one way or another. Either create new account, or change text colors, or say what character your using, or something. Just make sure we know who you’re posting as to eliminate confusion. Oh yeah, and make sure all your characters have accepted application forms. *Please note that this is an intermediate-advanced RP, and I expect you to act like it. Applications should show me that you are capable of being an advanced RP. I don't ask for an RP sample because I can tell your skill from the application, at least if you put an effort into it. If people start getting lazy, then I might have to require a sample. I don't want to do that, and I'm sure you don't want me to do that, so please, put forth an effort on your application. *Also keep in mind that this is a realistic role-play. Or as realistic as we can get with the horses still being able to talk to each other. *All posts must be at least 150 words long. I'll be putting up a word counter at the bottom of each page, so no exceptions. 150 words really isn't that much.
Role-playing *Be at least semi-literate. No one-liners, try to post at least two or three sentences per post, preferably more. You don't have to write an essay, but write descriptively as if writing for work or school. *All posts are to be in 3rd person and in past-tense. It eliminates a lot of confusion. *No god-moding or power-playing. God-moding is when your character is all-powerful, invincible, or able to dodge all attacks, or, more simply, being role-played as if they were a God. Power-playing is when you role-play some one else’s character at any time. Power-playing is only allowed in certain situations when the role-player of the power-played character gives permission.
Fighting *Try to have a reason for any fights your characters get into. Don’t just go around being confrontational and fighting everyone you see; make sure there’s some legitimate reason on why two characters are trying to kill each other. *No killing other people without their permission. If you have their permission, both you and the owner of the character you are killing need to IM a staff member and both need to say it is ok for the character to be killed. *If a fight does break out, kindly notify a staff member so that we can monitor it for power-playing or god-moding. This will ensure that if an issue arises, we will be able to sort it out quickly and without any casualties.
Mating/Birthing *First and foremost, absolutely no graphic breeding. This goes right along with the cursing thing: there could be kids on here. In addition to that, no one wants to read anything graphic. So keep it appropriate, alright? *Breeding happens in the spring or in the fall, birthing in the summer or the winter. *The two role-players of the parents get to decide what the foal is like, since there’s only going to be one. Twins are possible in some cases, but are very rare in horses, so this must be cleared by the staff if it’s going to happen at all.
And that’s all. Please check here frequently, however, because I will be changing and adding to these rules as time goes on, and you need to keep up with these. Don’t worry, I’ll try to keep all y’alls updated on whenever there’s a change.
