Plot and Stuff -Please Read-

Okay, well, here’s the situation. Basically, the site is slowly going belly-up. Again. And I’m trying to figure out what I can do to reverse that and get this site back to the active site it once was and maybe even more. Currently, the plot that we have isn’t attracting too many members, and there’s another huge problem: I have absolutely NO muse with Hinrichten anymore. I don’t know why, but it seems to be completely gone and ain’t coming back. So that gives us all a big problem when Mr. Plot’s role-player can’t role-play him, lol. So, I’ve discussed this with Thyla and have come up with a few ideas:

One, I could keep the current plot and put Hinrichten up for adoption, and let someone else role-play him, hopefully someone with more muse. My only problem with this is I really don’t like the idea of someone else role-playing one of my favorite characters. However, if we could find someone who could do a really good job, it might be okay. Only thing is that it would take some time to find that person, which means that the site might go belly-up while we wait, which would not be good.

Two, I could completely ditch Hinrichten AND the plot, and let the site run off of mini-plots for a while, give everyone some amount of free reign and the power to create their own plots, until we can come up with some really big main plot or something. Of course, I don’t know how well that would work out; I’ve seen other sites do it, but I don’t know, that might need more members than we have to get enough ideas.

Three, I could scrap Hinrichten and put the primary focus on the whole thing going on with Persephone. Thyla and I have been discussing this a lot, and I’ve even considered it before she brought it up, and it might just work. I have wells and wells of muse with Persephone, so I could keep really active with her. We could edit her history to make it the plot so that it fits with scrapping the whole Joker/Hinrichten war thing, find someone active and good to play Theron, and then play it out from there. This one, like the first, would need to give time to find that role-player, but Theron wouldn’t be terribly important in the beginning, so it could wait a while, allowing the site to continue. This would take a whole lot of work, but it shouldn’t be too hard, and having a plot might make the site more organized and, hopefully, more appealing to new members if this plot is interesting enough.

So, that’s basically what we’ve come up with, and I’m open to all three; I would prefer not the first one, because I love Hinrichten too much to give him away, but I’ll leave it up to you guys to decide. So, if all our active members could take the time to post on here which idea you want us to go with, that would be absolutely wonderful, so we can hopefully make the site more active. Also, don’t be afraid to add your own ideas, because I would welcome them gladly, since I don’t really know how well any of these three would turn out. But anyways, I’ll stop typing now and let you guys respond, since this is long enough as it is, rofl.

Ok hey this is MysteryMare I play Symbol I liked the site as it was but seeing how it is rather slow I would suggest number three my site went belly up as well so i changed that one around to an ALL DARK rpg and that is working out just fine...I will give more suggestions when Im not half asleep! lol

Perhaps you could just let Henrichten rest for a little while, and focus on the development of the other kings and queens with some subplots. You could add or change the plot a bit and use Persephone for a time until your muse for Henrichten starts flowing again. I think it would be a more flexible game if you had the main plot, then one or two subplots for each alliance to give them something to focus on while the main plot develops in response to the subplots.
